I like to write about myself (can you tell?) and am an Open City Fellow with the Asian American Writer’s Workshop and a New City Critics Fellow at the Urban Design Forum, writing about (you guessed it) climate change and flooding and South Asian Americana. Check out some past pieces about climate organizing, food justice, archiving, the Zoom chat, hybridity, and mapmaking. I’m a climate planner and I wrote my master’s thesis about vacant lots in Rockaway, and was the recipient of the Charles Abrams Thesis Award.

“Sabina is a powerhouse theater artist who makes socially engaged performance and works at the intersection of theater, urban planning, and climate activism which is like the coolest intersection there is in my opinion. Yes, I am scared about the future and I do feel climate despair! And I definitely want to watch Sabina play a cool Japanese synth from 1987.”
