Through the generous funding of the Albright Institute for Global Affairs, I was an intern for the Cities and Transportation team of the World Resources Institute in Bangalore during the summer of 2019.
In Bangalore, I researched gender and mobility in Chennai and Bangalore, designed qualitative and quantitative research protocols, interviewed participants and stakeholders, coded, analyzed, and transcribed interviews, authored literature reviews, and presented findings to stakeholders and funders.
I travelled to Chennai with my team to interview a diverse set of stakeholders, I lived by myself for the first time, and I practiced my Hindi in a city that speaks primarily Kannada and English. My friend Sana took this photo of me in front of a doorway while we were happily lost in the city.
